As summer comes to a close, supermodel Gigi Hadid has embraced the change of season by unveiling a fresh look. On September 24, she was spotted in New York City sporting a new haircut and a soft, warm cashmere blonde hue, a departure from the grown-out platinum shade she had been wearing.
The cashmere blonde color is characterized by its even, glowy finish, slightly darker than her previous shade. According to top London hair colorist Gemma Smidmore, this look is achieved through all-over highlighting and is increasingly popular among clients seeking softer blondes. “With cashmere blonde, you get a subtle appearance, and the regrowth is forgiving due to the finely woven tones,” Smidmore explained. She noted that this technique not only enhances the hair’s condition but also minimizes the need for excessive bleaching.
“What blonde doesn’t want their color to look expensive?” Smidmore added, describing the style as a blend of cool and warm tones that creates a lightweight, luxurious effect, growing out without harsh lines.
Hadid’s hair has evolved significantly since March, when she famously cut it from long to a chic ear-to-chin length. Her recent pinned-up bob, featured in a Miu Miu campaign, showcased a playful vintage vibe.
In addition to her hair transformation, Hadid celebrated her daughter Khai’s fourth birthday recently, sharing on Instagram a heartfelt message about her daughter’s interests. “She loves animals (fantastical ones too), music, Baby Yoda, all things nature & bugs, Descendants, anything squishy or miniature, and if possible—will be in the water from dawn till dusk. 🐬 She is curious, adventurous, loving, and oh so witty ⚡️⚡️,” Hadid wrote, highlighting the close bond they share.
