Actress Mrunal Thakur recently shared a fun, “filmy moment” with her fans on Instagram, posting a video of herself enjoying a good hair day while on location in Uttarakhand. In the clip, the actress, dressed in an orange bodycon top and jeans, can be seen trying to manage her long black hair as the wind plays with her locks, all while standing next to lush greenery. The moment was captioned simply: “Good hair day.”
Currently, Mrunal is shooting for an untitled romantic movie alongside actor Siddhant Chaturvedi. The film is set in the scenic backdrop of Uttarakhand, adding to the charm of her playful post.
Last month, Mrunal added another accolade to her career, winning the Best Performance – Female (Telugu) award at the 24th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) for her performance as Yashna in the popular film Hi Nanna. Speaking about the role, she expressed how fulfilling it was to dive into the emotional depths of the character, attributing the success to the dedication of her co-stars and team. She stated, “This award is not just mine; it reflects our collective hard work and dedication to storytelling.”
On the professional front, Mrunal has several exciting projects lined up. She will be seen alongside Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn in Son of Sardaar, directed by Vijay Kumar Arora. Additionally, she has a comedy film with Varun Dhawan, helmed by David Dhawan, and another film titled Pooja Meri Jaan in the pipeline.
Mrunal began her acting career in 2012 with the television show Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan and later gained recognition through roles in Arjun and Kumkum Bhagya. She also showcased her dancing skills on Nach Baliye 7.
Her repertoire has since expanded to include popular web series like Made in Heaven 2, and acclaimed films such as Super 30, Batla House, Dhamaka, Sita Ramam, Pippa, and The Family Star. Recently, she portrayed Divya in the sci-fi thriller Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies.
