Princess Anne exuded grace and sophistication as she attended the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Saturday evening, joining the royal family for the occasion.
The 74-year-old Princess Royal was the epitome of elegance in a sculpted black dress, which she layered with a tailored suit jacket featuring satin lapels. Her choice of black patent loafers and tights complemented her polished look, while a black and white printed scarf added subtle dimension to her monochrome outfit.
Notably, Princess Anne accessorized with an oversized poppy brooch, alongside a distinctive silver brooch set with a large oval pearl. This brooch is believed to have been worn by Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, during the 1942 christening of Prince Michael of Kent.
Spanish Royal Jewels on Instagram noted that Princess Anne first wore this ornate pearl brooch at the Royal Academy of Engineers’ annual dinner in July 2023, marking its debut in her jewelry collection. Pearls, often seen as a more understated and respectful choice than diamonds, are traditionally worn during times of mourning.
