Blake Lively’s Target Hair Care Line Faces 78% Sales Drop After Alleged Smear Campaign

by Madonna

Blake Lively’s hair care line, Blake Brown, has reportedly suffered a dramatic 78% drop in sales following a lawsuit filed by the actress against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni. According to Lively, the sales decline is a direct result of a well-coordinated smear campaign launched by Baldoni and his team after the film’s premiere. Lively’s legal team alleges that the campaign was aimed at tarnishing her reputation and had a significant negative impact on her business ventures, including the Blake Brown line, which had previously been seen as one of Target’s most promising new products.

Prior to the alleged smear campaign, Blake Brown was Target’s largest hair care launch to date, garnering $16 million in media impact value in just one week. Internal reports suggest that, despite early success and high customer satisfaction, the negative publicity led to a sharp decline in sales, with figures dropping between 56% and 78%. Lively’s attorneys assert that this sudden downturn in sales was inconsistent with the positive consumer testing and reviews the brand had received before the backlash began. The lawsuit paints a picture of an orchestrated attempt to sabotage Lively’s business, undermining what had been a lucrative partnership with the retail giant.
