Carolyn Aronson, founder of the successful beauty brand It’s a 10, has built an empire in the hair care industry since launching the brand in 2006. The brand’s flagship product, the Miracle Leave-In spray, quickly gained popularity for its ability to hydrate, smooth, and protect hair, leading to expansion in major retailers like Ulta Beauty, Target, and Amazon. Aronson’s focus on high-quality products for various hair types has contributed to the brand’s continued growth.

In 2017, Aronson became the sole owner of It’s a 10, and the brand now generates around $500 million in annual sales, reaching over 125 countries. A former foster child and self-made billionaire, Aronson has become an inspiration in the beauty industry. Her philanthropic efforts include donating $250,000 worth of products to aid victims of the Los Angeles wildfires.

This year, Aronson expanded her business with Cloud Haircare, a Gen Z-focused line featuring vegan, eco-friendly products sold at CVS and Walmart for $11.99. Cloud Haircare appeals to younger consumers with its colorful packaging and emphasis on sustainability. Aronson also entered the home hair-color market with Rewind it 10, a line of men’s hair and beard dyes, in partnership with rapper Fat Joe and her husband, Jeff Aronson.
