Unconventional Hair Coloring Experiments: What Happened When Ice Cream Was Used

by Madonna

In the realm of internet trends and hacks, there’s no shortage of unconventional methods promising quick and cost-effective solutions. While many approach these with skepticism, some dive in headfirst, seeking the thrill of experimentation. Recently, one such instance caught the attention of netizens when a content creator, going by the name of Suman, decided to test out a rather unusual method of coloring her hair – using ice cream.

In a video shared online, Suman can be seen attempting to dye her hair using three chocolate-coated ice cream bars, which she proceeds to mash into the lower ends of her hair. According to Suman, her inspiration for this peculiar experiment stemmed from a video she came across online, showcasing a similar technique.

After allowing the ice cream to sit on her hair for a duration of 20 minutes, Suman proceeds to wash her hair, only to find that the color remains unchanged, leading her to declare the hack as ineffective. However, the response in the comments section was far from sympathetic, with many users ridiculing her for entertaining such an outlandish idea.

Among the barrage of sarcastic remarks, criticism also emerged regarding the wastage of food, as users pointed out the frivolous use of ice cream. “Wastage of ice cream,” remarked one Instagram user, while another criticized the apparent disregard for those less fortunate, stating, “These are the same people who would roll up their car windows when a child who’s underprivileged comes and asks them to get him something to eat.”

Suman, who boasts over 50,000 Instagram followers and more than 6.5 lakh YouTube subscribers, is no stranger to trying unconventional hacks. Just days prior, on March 15, she attempted another unorthodox method of hair coloring, this time using turmeric powder, as suggested by one of her followers.

In the turmeric experiment, Suman applies a mixture of turmeric powder and water to her hair, leaving it on for 20 minutes before washing it out. Expressing her apprehension over potentially damaging her hair, Suman expresses her concerns about ending up with grey hair due to the experiment. However, as expected, the turmeric fails to impart any noticeable color to her hair upon washing.

Responding to her video, one Instagram user ominously predicts, “In a few days you will become bald by trying all this.” Echoing similar sentiments, another user advises, “Don’t spoil your hair by experimenting with ice cream and turmeric. Don’t do it.”

While Suman’s hair coloring adventures may have yielded amusing content for her followers, they serve as a cautionary tale about the risks and repercussions of embracing unconventional beauty hacks without proper consideration.
