Great Clips debuts its latest location in Fairfax City, marking its entry into the local hair care market. Situated at 3989 Pickett Road within the Turnpike Shopping Center, the Minneapolis-based salon chain inaugurated its doors with a festive ribbon-cutting event this past Saturday.
To celebrate its arrival, Great Clips is extending a special offer: haircuts priced at $5.99 for the initial fortnight of operation, a notable markdown from its usual $23 rate. Sean Carroll, the franchise owner, expressed enthusiasm about joining the Fairfax community, underscoring the salon’s commitment to providing affordable grooming solutions for families.
A military veteran and owner of another Great Clips outpost in Reston’s South Lakes Village Center, Carroll emphasized the company’s dedication to serving local communities.
Founded in 1982, Great Clips boasts a sprawling network of over 4,400 franchises across the United States and Canada. Alongside its newest Fairfax establishment, the brand maintains a presence in locations such as Franconia’s Festival at Manchester Lakes and Arlington.
Operating hours for the Fairfax salon are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Beyond standard haircuts and styling, the salon offers specialized services including perms, shampooing, and grooming services for bangs, beards, and necks.
Despite being fully staffed at present, the franchise is actively seeking local talent, affirming its commitment to bolstering the community workforce.
