Cindy Crawford is reminiscing about a bold hairstyle from her past.
On Sunday, May 26, the 58-year-old supermodel shared a throwback video on Instagram. The montage featured images from the 1980s when she sported a striking pixie cut.
“Looking back on the short hair days,” Crawford captioned the post.
The video includes a series of black-and-white photos taken by photographer Barry Elz. In these images, Crawford appears in a stylish tube top and also poses with her bare back. These photos, dated 1984, are available on Elz’s website.
Followers were surprised by the throwback, including actress Lisa Rinna. “Wow, I never knew you had short hair,” commented the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, known for her own signature short hairstyle.
Earlier in May, Crawford spoke to PEOPLE about her enduring marriage with husband Rande Gerber. The couple, married for 25 years, recently introduced a new product to Gerber’s Casamigos tequila line, co-founded with George Clooney and Mike Meldman. The new addition is Casamigos Jalapeño Tequila.
Crawford revealed the secret to their successful marriage. “Rande and I were friends first. We had chemistry, but our friendship provided a strong foundation. During stressful times, treating each other with respect, understanding, and compassion has helped us through 25 years and some storms,” she said.
Crawford and Gerber have two children: Presley, 24, and Kaia, 22.
In February, Kaia celebrated her mother’s birthday by posting a throwback photo on her Instagram Stories. “Like fine wine,” she wrote. The photo showed Crawford in a chic black dress with a voluminous hairstyle, bending over to blow out candles on a cake decorated with a Vogue cover featuring her likeness and the text, “What’s Next?”
