CADILLAC — A local business reached a significant milestone on Tuesday, celebrating 50 years of service.
New Image Salon, located in downtown Cadillac, opened its doors on July 2, 1974. To commemorate its half-century anniversary, the Cadillac Area Chamber of Commerce held a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Bill Panasiewicz, the former owner and now part-time stylist, reflected on the salon’s journey through various trends and fashions. He emphasized one constant: his dedication to the community.
“For ten years, we invited the kids from Eagle Village to get their hair cut for free,” Panasiewicz shared.
His advice to others is simple: “Get involved in the community. If you don’t make it better, who will?”
Bill expressed gratitude for the relationships he’s built over the years. Following the ceremony, he looked forward to his annual hunting trip out west.
