Amy Dowden, a star of Strictly Come Dancing, has shared her hair regrowth secrets following her chemotherapy treatment.
Diagnosed with stage three breast cancer last year, the dancer underwent chemotherapy, which forced her to miss last year’s season of the BBC show.
As part of her treatment, which ended in late 2023, Amy shaved off her hair. Now, she has opened up on Instagram about the process of growing it back.
“So many ask about my hair growth and how it’s growing so fast!” she told her followers in her Stories. “Well, thanks to @_thegoodnessguide. She got me on the bone broth…
“Going to share a video later of how I make it, and you will see in the past few months the difference in my hair growth! Hope this helps. Also, look, it’s come back curly.”
Amy is set to return to the Strictly dancefloor later this year. She also has a busy 2025 lined up with a tour with fellow pro Carlos Gu in March and April.
“Amy & Carlos: Reborn” will visit various locations across the UK, offering an “intimate portrait of their lives and journeys.” The show promises to highlight “the transformative power of dance.”
The tour will feature a “dazzling cast of world-class dancers and vocalists” and take audiences on an “emotional and uplifting journey through powerful and show-stopping routines,” according to the description. “Reborn is a testament to the joy of dancing.”
Additionally, Amy will front a new BBC documentary about her cancer journey called “Amy Dowden: Fight of My Life.” The documentary will provide a “raw, deeply personal, and honest” account of her chemotherapy and the support she has received.
