Abbey Clancy has taken proactive steps to address her husband Peter Crouch’s thinning hair by scheduling him for advanced hair loss treatments.
The 38-year-old model is concerned about the former footballer’s receding hairline and has convinced him to try platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. This innovative procedure involves extracting blood, spinning it in a centrifuge to increase platelet concentration, and then reinjecting it into the scalp to stimulate hair growth and enhance existing hair.
During a discussion on their Therapy Crouch podcast, Abbey revealed, “My friend’s husband tried this treatment where they take your own blood, spin it around in a machine, take out the plasma, and inject it into your scalp. The results have been amazing,” as reported by the Daily Star.
Impressed by the potential of this technology, Abbey has arranged for Peter to undergo the treatment, stating firmly, “I’ve booked you in.”
Abbey has been vocal about men’s hair loss issues and believes that early intervention can make a difference. “I’ve been reading about male hair loss, and if it’s caught early at the receding stage, you can do something about it. But once the hair follicles are gone, it’s too late,” she shared.
Peter expressed willingness to try the hair-saving procedure, jokingly negotiating, “I’ll do it if we can go on a road trip afterwards, just the two of us.”
Abbey painted a vivid picture of their future road trip, imagining, “Driving a convertible Cadillac down Route 66 with your hair blowing in the wind.”
Abbey has also discussed personal matters such as intimacy and relationships on the Exhibit A podcast, mentioning a pill often called “female Viagra” which she credits with improving her sex life. She emphasized the importance of emotional connection in her own experience of motherhood and relationships.
Abbey’s proactive approach to Peter’s hair loss reflects her commitment to supporting him through innovative solutions, highlighting her role both as a concerned partner and a public figure.
