CARY, N.C. (WTVD) – A heartwarming fundraiser in Cary, North Carolina, brought the community together to support a 7-year-old battling cancer. Twisted Scizzors Salon, located in Wake County, held its annual Cut-a-thon event, raising over $12,000 for young Noelle Franklin, who is currently fighting a brain tumor.
The salon offered free haircuts to anyone who donated $20 or more, with all proceeds, including tips, going directly to support Noelle’s medical journey. This year’s event marked a record-breaking achievement for Twisted Scizzors, both in terms of the amount raised and the number of haircuts provided.
Organizers, who have been hosting the event for 13 years, were thrilled with the outpouring of support from the community. They noted that this year’s Cut-a-thon generated the largest donation total and participation they’ve ever seen.
Noelle’s battle has deeply touched the hearts of many in the area, and the overwhelming success of the event is a testament to the power of community solidarity and generosity.
