JW Shinyak announced on Friday its participation in a global Phase 4 clinical trial for DUCRAY NEOPTIDE EXPERT, a hair care cosmetic from the French pharmaceutical company Pierre Fabre. This pivotal study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the product, with JW Shinyak leading the trial efforts in Korea.
Details of the Phase 4 Clinical Trial
The global Phase 4 trial, scheduled from September 2024 to March 2025, will involve 15 countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Africa. In Korea, the trial will be managed in collaboration with three major organizations: the Korean Hair Research Society, the Korean Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, and the Association of Korean Dermatologists. The study will be conducted across five major university hospitals and 15 specialized clinics, enrolling 200 participants experiencing follow-up care for scalp and hair issues after hair loss treatments.
Objective and Scope of the Study
This Phase 4 trial will focus on individuals in stage 3 of the Norwood Hamilton classification, where visible hair loss progression is apparent. The six-month study will assess the improvement in scalp condition and the overall effects of DUCRAY NEOPTIDE EXPERT on hair restoration following hair loss caused by various factors.
