Belle Sirène Salon, located at 7923 Girard Ave. in La Jolla, has grown significantly since its founding nine years ago, expanding from its original location at 7838 Herschel Ave. Owner Sherri Belanger emphasizes the salon’s commitment to hair care, stating on their website, “Your hair is our passion.” The salon offers a luxurious experience with a range of services designed for various budgets, focusing on meticulous detail and care.
Specializing in techniques like specialty blonding, lived-in Balayage, and custom treatments, Belle Sirène is also recognized as a flagship salon for Davines, an Italian leader in sustainable hair care.
Belanger, a Massachusetts native, discovered her passion for hairstyling at a young age, stemming from her experiences with her own curly hair. Inspired by a stylist who helped her embrace her texture, she pursued cosmetology and eventually moved to Los Angeles to work with celebrities.
Returning to La Jolla, Belanger established Belle Sirène at 32, initially starting solo. Today, the salon boasts over 20 employees and serves clients from across Southern California. Belanger notes the salon’s unique luxury blow-dry experience, which costs $60 and fills a niche in the local market. She believes in pairing clients with the right stylist, fostering a positive atmosphere that has garnered praise for its energy and kindness.
