PETAL, Miss. (WDAM) – The Hair Station Studio College of Beauty organized a “Back to School” festival on Saturday, aimed at helping local families in need prepare for the upcoming academic year.
The event featured a lively atmosphere, with attendees enjoying a range of activities, including food, music, and face painting.
In addition to the entertainment, local vendors were present and encouraged to donate school supplies for children in the community. The beauty college’s students also contributed by offering free haircuts and grooming services for kids.
Student Chelsea Kelly emphasized the importance of giving back, saying, “When someone blesses you, give back. Blessed people bless people—that’s my favorite saying.”
The festival brought together the community in a meaningful way, offering support to families as they gear up for the new school year.
