Former Chelsea and England football star Wayne Bridge made a notable appearance at the star-studded screening of DreamWorks’ The Wild Robot on Sunday, revealing the impressive results of his recent hair transplant. The 44-year-old athlete, who has been open about his struggles with hair loss, proudly showed off his fuller head of hair as he supported his wife, Frankie Bridge, at the event.
Frankie, 35, voices the character Snowdown the Goose in the highly anticipated film, and Wayne stood by her side during the premiere, held as part of the 68th BFI London Film Festival. The couple, who were joined by their sons Parker, 10, and Carter, eight, seemed to enjoy the family-friendly event.
At the beginning of October, Wayne underwent a hair transplant at a renowned Harley Street clinic in a bid to regain his confidence after experiencing hair loss since his mid-30s. The procedure involved extracting 4,085 hair follicles and replanting them into areas affected by balding, all done without the need to shave his head.
The results were evident at the film screening, as Wayne’s hair appeared naturally full, with no sign of his previous pattern baldness. Reflecting on his decision to get the treatment, Wayne shared how his wife, Frankie, encouraged him to take the step, offering her full support throughout the process.
“I have been suffering from hair loss since my mid-30s,” Wayne admitted. “I just felt it would give me a bit of a boost to get it sorted. So many men are getting help with their hair, and it is really no big deal. I told Frankie what I was doing, and she was really supportive.”
With his hair transplant yielding rapid and impressive results, Wayne’s confidence was clearly boosted as he celebrated his wife’s success in The Wild Robot. The heartwarming family outing showcased not only the transformation in Wayne’s appearance but also the close-knit bond between the Bridges as they continue to support each other through various endeavors.
