The town of Century celebrated a special event recently with the grand opening of Pump Hair Studio, the town’s newest business. A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place in the afternoon, marking a new chapter for Century as the first new business opening in quite some time.
The salon, located at 8351 North Century Boulevard, right next to CVS, is owned by Tabitha Schoonover, a proud Century native. After the ceremony, she shared her excitement about contributing to her hometown’s growth. “I grew up in Century, and I hate to see a lot of these buildings closed down,” Schoonover said. “So, I said from the beginning that if I ever open up anything, it will be in Century. I want our town to be better.”
With over seven years of experience in the hair industry, Schoonover has an impressive background. She graduated from George Stone Technical College and has worked at salons like Fantastic Sams and Ulta Beauty, as well as independently. She is a licensed master in Redken hair color and other brands, showcasing her expertise and dedication to her craft.
The opening of Pump Hair Studio represents not only a new business venture but also a revitalization effort for the town of Century.
