Kourtney Kardashian has opened up about the challenges she has faced with postpartum hair loss following the birth of her son, Rocky, who is now one year old. In an exclusive interview with WWD.com, the reality star and mother of four shared her experience of hair shedding during the postpartum period, a struggle she says she has encountered with each of her children.
“I noticed it with all four of my kids, when I was breastfeeding, that I would have hair loss and shedding,” Kourtney revealed, acknowledging the common issue many new mothers face.
In response to her hair concerns, Kardashian has adopted a gentler approach to her hair care routine. “A new thing I’ve been doing is I drink bone broth in the mornings instead of tea. I have that on my carpooling adventures,” she explained, adding that she has made an effort to reduce hair washing and styling to minimize further damage.
Kourtney also shared her approach to nourishing her hair with rich oils, stating, “I try to not do too much to my hair during this time, and I try to not wash it as often as possible. I will put hair oils in and just keep my hair sleek, and then just try to not use a lot of product at all.”
In addition to her focus on hair care, Kourtney and her husband, Travis Barker, are raising a blended family of six children. The Blink-182 drummer has three children—Alabama, Landon, and Atiana De La Hoya—while Kourtney co-parents her three children—Mason, Reign, and Penelope—with ex-partner Scott Disick.
