Alan Halsall’s Hair Transformation: A Decade of Treatments Boosts Confidence Ahead of I’m A Celeb Debut

by Madonna

Actor Alan Halsall, 42, is opening up about his journey with hair transplants, revealing he has undergone nearly a decade of treatments to boost his confidence. Halsall, best known for his role in Coronation Street, showcased a full head of hair when he made his debut on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! on Sunday. Alongside singer Tulisa, 36, the actor was crowned camp leader following a tense first challenge.

Halsall’s transformation comes after years of visits to the Farjo Hair Institute, a prestigious hair transplant clinic with locations in London and Manchester. The actor first sought treatment in 2016, undergoing his first transplant to address early signs of hair loss. Three years later, he returned for a second procedure.

In an earlier interview, Halsall shared his desire to help others facing similar struggles, saying, “I’ve spoken with so many men who have confidence issues because of their hair. Maybe this will let some of them know they have options, and people have it done all the time. It’s not something to be ashamed of.”

Throughout his journey, Halsall has received a total of 3,725 hair grafts, targeting his hairline and the top of his head. The actor has also been open with fans, sharing his progress on social media and inspiring others. One of those he has influenced is his Corrie co-star Colson Smith, who underwent the procedure earlier this year.

Dr. Bessam Farjo, the surgeon who performed Halsall’s treatments, praised the actor for his honesty and the positive impact he has had on others considering similar procedures. “We’ve loved having Alan at the Farjo Hair Institute over the years. He’s a friend of the clinic, and we always look forward to seeing him,” said Dr. Farjo. “His openness about his journey has inspired so many men to feel more confident in seeking treatment. We know he’s going to do brilliantly in the jungle – his banter will definitely ensure plenty of smiles for his fellow campmates!”
