Hair Enhancements, a local business in Dormont, recently hosted an inspiring evening to celebrate the resilience of women battling cancer, while highlighting its ongoing charitable efforts. The event, which brought together past and current clients, recognized the courage and strength of women affected by cancer. Over the years, Hair Enhancements has donated more than $60,000 worth of wigs and hair toppers to women in need, thanks to partnerships with various organizations.
During the event, each woman was presented with a bouquet of flowers as part of the inaugural Hair Enhancements Cancer Warrior Awards. The ceremony also paid tribute to the courageous women who had passed away, acknowledging their lasting impact on the community.
Owner Kelsie Baldé shared the emotional significance of the work her team does, emphasizing the unique and personal stories of each woman they serve.
“It’s a lot. It’s sad because I wish fewer people had to go through cancer, but on the other hand, I’m truly blessed to be part of that journey,” Baldé said. “Any small thing that can make their experience a little easier, I’m here for. I feel lucky to be able to help.”
The evening’s event also served as a fundraiser for Face2Face Healing, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting those dealing with cancer and other conditions that affect self-image. The organization aims to promote healing through outreach, advocacy, and education. All proceeds from the Cancer Warrior Campaign will be donated to support Face2Face Healing’s mission.
