Mo Salah’s Sensational Start to the Season Sparks Fan Theories Over Possible Hair Transplant

by Madonna

Fans are abuzz with speculation that Mo Salah‘s remarkable form this season could be linked to a dramatic off-season transformation—his new haircut, which some believe may be the result of a hair transplant.

The Egyptian winger, who turned 32 in June, had sparked concerns earlier in the year that his best days might be behind him, especially with the arrival of new manager Arne Slot. However, Salah silenced any doubts with a standout performance, scoring 12 goals and providing 10 assists in just 18 appearances, helping Liverpool soar to the top of the Premier League with an eight-point lead.

While Salah has not confirmed whether he underwent the procedure, the winger’s new look has become the subject of fan discussions. His decision to cut off his iconic locks has led many supporters to draw a connection between his revamped appearance and his flying start to the season. Fans are quick to praise the change, with one commenter on X (formerly Twitter) writing, “The hairline has done wonders for Mo Salah,” followed by a goat emoji. Another fan quipped, “Salah since he got his new hairline,” alongside an image of Lionel Messi celebrating.

Some fans even joked about the impact of Salah’s transformation, with one stating, “Mo Salah with one hair transplant went from Egyptian king to Dominican prince,” referring to his newly revitalized look.

Salah’s stellar performance continued over the weekend, as he netted twice to help Liverpool recover from a 2-1 deficit and secure a 3-2 win over Southampton. However, his comments after the match raised eyebrows, as he hinted at a potential departure from Liverpool, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

When asked about his future, Salah told reporters outside St. Mary’s Stadium, “We are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay at the club. I’m probably more out than in. I’ve been at the club for many years, and there is no club like this. But in the end, it’s not in my hands. As I said, it’s December and I haven’t received anything yet about my future. I love the fans, and the fans love me. But in the end, it is not in my hands or the fans’ hands.”

His comments have sparked a divide among fans. Some have expressed concern, stating it would be “completely unforgivable” if Liverpool’s owners allowed Salah to leave for free next summer. Others, including club legend Jamie Carragher, have criticized Salah for the timing of his remarks. On Monday Night Football, Carragher called the interview “selfish,” particularly given the upcoming crucial matches for Liverpool.

“I must say, I am very disappointed with Mo Salah,” Carragher said. “That interview last night… Liverpool have Real Madrid in midweek and Manchester City next weekend. That’s the story for Liverpool right now. And Mo Salah, we’re aware—certainly the local reporters near the club—that in seven years he’s stopped in the mixed zone twice. That’s absolutely fine. But he stops for the third time away at Southampton on the back of winning Liverpool the game and puts that out. If he continues to put comments out, or his agent continues to put cryptic tweets out, that is selfish. That’s thinking about themselves and not the football club.”

With Salah’s future still uncertain and his performances at an all-time high, the coming months could be pivotal in shaping both his career and Liverpool’s success this season.
