As the holiday season approaches, Gabrielle Union and celebrity hairstylist Larry Sims are making it easier for everyone to achieve red-carpet-worthy hair. Through their Flawless by Gabrielle Union hair care line, they’ve partnered with JCPenney to offer a unique styling experience for the holidays.
Starting November 18, select JCPenney salons in Los Angeles and San Diego will feature the “SimStyled” experience, where clients can choose from eight curated hairstyles, all executed by professional stylists trained by Sims. The collaboration aims to provide accessible, salon-quality hair treatments, using Flawless products to create everything from natural curls to sleek, heat-styled looks.
The launch event at the Glendale Galleria location marked the debut of this nationwide partnership, with Union and Sims welcoming guests to a stylish and festive atmosphere. The salon was decorated in black, white, and gold, creating a warm space for guests to mingle and watch the stylists in action. Attendees had the chance to vote for their favorite looks, including popular styles like bantu knots, wash-and-go, and wavy curls.
Union and Sims, co-founders of the Flawless line, shared their excitement and gratitude at the event. Union highlighted three core values guiding her work: family, money, and time. “I do what makes me happy, what allows me to maintain and expand my peace, joy, and what keeps me looking good,” she said.
Sims, who grew up immersed in the culture of Black beauty in Chicago, spoke about his passion for creating beauty that makes others feel good. “When it comes to creating, it comes from the core of my soul,” he explained. “I don’t do it for the money. I do it for the way it makes me feel and for the way I know it makes others feel.”
This partnership between Flawless by Gabrielle Union and JCPenney brings professional hair care to the masses, making it easier than ever to look and feel fabulous for the holiday season.
