Timothée Chalamet Channels Bob Dylan at A Complete Unknown Premiere

by Madonna

Timothée Chalamet stunned at the New York City premiere of A Complete Unknown on December 13, unveiling a dramatic new look for his role as Bob Dylan in the biopic. The 28-year-old actor swapped his usual curly hair for long blonde bangs, mimicking Dylan’s iconic appearance at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival. Chalamet wore a black leather jacket, red flannel shirt, black denim pants, a plaid scarf, and a blue beanie, completing the look with side-swept blonde hair.

Chalamet has been subtly channeling Dylan for months, sporting a mustache and goatee. In a recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, he joked that his facial hair might even help him land a role as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in a future biopic.

The actor dedicated years to preparing for the role of Dylan, studying everything from guitar playing to press conference footage. “Weirdly, it was the press conferences,” he said, explaining how he watched clips from Dylan’s 1965 San Francisco conference. He also praised Don’t Look Back, D.A. Pennebaker’s 1967 documentary, as essential to his research.

Chalamet’s transformation into Dylan reflects his deep commitment to portraying the music legend with authenticity and care.
