Desert Essence Launches New Dry Scalp Care Line for Healthy Hair

by Madonna

Desert Essence has launched a new hair care line specifically designed for dry scalps, featuring the Dry Scalp Care Pre-Shampoo Intensive Treatment, Shampoo, and Conditioner. With the goal of promoting healthy hair from the root, these products help to exfoliate, soothe, and nourish the scalp while balancing its microbiome.

The Dry Scalp Care Pre-Shampoo Intensive Treatment uses lactic acid, a gentle AHA, to exfoliate the scalp and remove dead skin cells and product buildup. It also includes chicory-derived prebiotics, glucosamine HCI, and peppermint oil to help hydrate and calm an itchy, dry scalp. This treatment promotes healthy hair growth and restores the scalp’s balance.

The Dry Scalp Care Shampoo and Conditioner are designed to cleanse and nourish the scalp gently. They feature Australian tea tree oil and manuka oil, which have natural antiseptic properties to fight bacteria that contribute to dry, flaky skin. Additionally, coconut oil and jojoba oil work to moisturize and soothe the scalp, while peppermint oil provides relief for irritation.

The global scalp care market is expected to reach $20.79 billion by 2030, partly driven by growing interest from Gen Z and Millennials, who are increasingly incorporating scalp health into their holistic beauty routines.
