Sienna Naturals, a clean hair care brand focused on the textured hair community, has officially launched at Sephora locations nationwide. This milestone follows an exclusive product drop on Sephora.com and a significant Sephora Beauty Grant received at the 15 Percent Pledge Gala.
Founders Issa Rae and Hannah Diop see the Sephora partnership as a perfect fit for the brand’s growth. “Sienna Naturals is a first mover in the category,” Diop says. The brand is establishing itself as a premium, non-toxic option for Black women, focusing on clean ingredients and high formulation standards.
This direction is rooted in Diop’s healthy upbringing and the alarming rates of breast cancer among Black women. With over 75% of products targeting Black women containing carcinogens, Diop and Rae saw the need for a healthier alternative.
The partnership with Sephora provides Sienna Naturals the platform to reach its intended audience. Rae praises Sephora’s ability to amplify new brands, noting their expertise in marketing, product selection, and shelf placement.
Looking ahead, Sienna Naturals aims to continue innovating with new products, including their latest drop: the D.N.A. Scalp Serum, designed for daily use without buildup. Diop and Rae emphasize the importance of creating products that truly work, with Diop’s keen sense of product development driving the brand’s success.
The brand is also focused on enhancing the customer experience, with Rae reflecting on the rewarding feedback from their community. “It’s been gratifying to see how our products have helped transform people’s relationships with their textured hair,” she says.
As Sienna Naturals expands, the brand plans to introduce more styling products to complement its hair care lineup. Currently, their hair serum, oil, and wash day essentials are available in Sephora stores nationwide.
