Pop superstar, Dua Lipa has been spotted in London flaunting a new fiery red hairstyle that bears an uncanny resemblance to Shakira’s iconic hairdo of the 90s. Shakira first sported this look during her MTV Unplugged performance in 1999 and brought it back in 2021 with some stunning selfies shared on social media.
Fans of both singers were left amazed when Dua Lipa stepped out wearing front braids and the exact same shade of red hair as Shakira’s. She paired the look with a fluffy white coat, jeans, black top, matching boots, and a red burgundy purse. The singer was all smiles as she posed for the cameras outside her hotel, ahead of the release of her much-awaited single ‘Houdini.’
It is still unclear whether Dua Lipa took inspiration from the Colombian singer or if she is simply a fan of her music. Nevertheless, the similarities between the two musicians’ hairstyles from different eras are striking.
