In an endeavor to encapsulate the essence of the city’s ever-shifting seasons, EOF Hair Salon/OROSY Studio emerges as a space dedicated to immortalizing the moments experienced by its visitors against the backdrop of these diverse seasons. Recognizing the prolonged hair salon visit cycle extending beyond a month, the design philosophy sought to meticulously document the seasonal metamorphosis with each recurring visit.
Preserving the intrinsic character of the existing concrete finish became paramount, underscoring the desire to encapsulate the raw authenticity of the city’s temperament. Simultaneously, a deliberate effort was made to maximize the visual connection to the external environment through expansive windows, allowing patrons to bear witness to the dynamic panorama of the city.
Embracing a commitment to minimalism, the design underwent a process of simplification in both structure and aesthetic, reinforcing an uncluttered and purposeful ambiance. The concrete finish, with its evocation of urban desolation and chill, forms a poignant contrast against the evolving cityscape observed through the strategically placed windows.
